About Us - Looking After The Residents at Woodbeck Village!
Ron & Ann Mee, have
been managing Woodbeck Village since 2001. They have enjoyed
many experiences in their life
together and embraced opportunities with a keen spirit
for adventure, gaining valuable skills and knowledge.
These attributes combined with Ron and Ann's natural
compassion and warmth make them the ideal custodians for
the Woodbeck Village.
Ann has a medical
background and a passion for helping people. Starting her career as a nurse, she worked for many
years in nursing homes, and also as an employee at
Morris Surgical.
Ron, an avid cricket and
football supporter, worked for the Lands Department for
many years before accepting other positions with Morris
Surgical, and then the Bank of Queensland.
As devoted parents to
three now grown sons, Ron and Ann value family ties and
relationships, and do their best to recreate a 'family'
atmosphere in the small community of Woodbeck Village.
They have also had a long association with the Surf
Lifesavers and have given much of their time and support
to the club.
Ron and Ann both have a
natural affinity with the aged, and it was this passion
that led them to being recognised and well respected for
their work at Woodbeck Village. You only need to ask any
of the residents or their family members about their
experiences at Woodbeck and you will discover a group of
happy and grateful people enjoying this supported
community village.

What The Family
Members of Residents are Saying About Woodbeck Retirement Village |
|
My mother, Mrs Helen Ferguson, has been a resident at
Woodbeck Village for the past sixteen months. She is
just so happy and relaxed, that I don't need to worry
about her welfare, as I know she is content.
The staff and management
are so caring, that Mum now calls Woodbeck home.

My mother had lived in her own home for 30 years on the
north side of Brisbane. After my father passed away, she
found it difficult to cope on her own. At the age of 80
she made a very big adjustment in her life by moving
into
Woodbeck Village, on the southside close to me and
my family.
It took her a little while
to settle in, but with the help and kindness of Ann and
Ron, the managers of Woodbeck, she is now living happily
and has been very contented for the past 5 years.

My mother, Doreen was unwell and not coping at home. She
moved into Woodbeck three and half years ago and hasn't
looked back. I would thoroughly recommend
Woodbeck
Village to anyone looking for quality care
accommodation.

My father spent the last eighteen months of his life at
Woodbeck Village. He enjoyed every minute of his time
there. From his cosy unit, to the great food, good
company and the excellent care and concern which he
received from Ann and Ron, all made his time at
Woodbeck
special.
Thank you Woodbeck
Village.

My Dad sold his home and
moved to
Woodbeck Village where he lived independently
for 5 years. In this time he joined in with all the
social activities and special events with guests, which
gave him a new friendship group and a new lease on life.
The managers and staff are
wonderfully caring and I sincerely thank them that.

Woodbeck Village
has provided us with peace of mind knowing our father is
living in a secure and friendly environment. Meals,
facilities, social outings and activities are a credit
to the management.
A big thank you to Ann and
Ron, the managers of the village, for their caring
concern for all the resident's welfare.
